I remember it was three months before the college entrance examination, and we began to have to accept the countless model texts which were so difficult for me that I almost failed every time. As a consequence, I nearly lost heart completely, which led to a vicious circle that things became worse and worse as well as my mood. At one time, I thought about giving up.
Once, I was in a state of deep depression on account of my another failure to pass one of the model texts. So that I could not focus on my study any longer, and went back home on impulse. I didn’t know what punishment was waiting for me, but I didn’t care this time. To my surprise, neither a severe reprimand or beating was for me. Father just asked me to have a good rest.
The next morning, (学习资料 http://www.0451jiajiaowang.com)the weather was fine. And father suggested me to climb the mountain with him to have a relaxation. The mountain was just estimated 25-meter high, but difficult enough to climb since it was not for regular climbing, especially the higher we climbed, the more difficult for us. Half way up the mountain, I was too tired to forward. But father encouraged me that :“Be confident and try your best. You can take the devious route if there is no way in front you, but never give up.”
Being exhausted, we finally reached the top. I did not forget my father’s words. He said that :“Climbing is similar to your study, what you should do is believe yourself, find out a right way, make efforts and you will make it. Remember that where there is a will, there is a success.” I do remember that my father took Mao Zedong for example. He told me how President Mao led Chinese people to overcome all sorts of difficulties, such as food shortage, the assault of enemies and so on.
This time my father didn’t punish me, but strongly encouraged me instead. With my father’s encouragement, I returned to school. Thereafter, I became more confident and optimistic which made my study gradually get better and better.
